Obituary for George O. Pendleton

George O. "G.O." Pendleton, 64 passed away Saturday May 18, 2019. Survivors: son, Patrick; sisters, Mariam, Janice, Joyce, Edith; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation: Friday 10 A.M. followed by service at 12:00 P.M. Both services will be held at Hathaway & Clark Funeral Home, Inc., 2718 Virginia Avenue.

George Orlandus Pendleton was born on July 21, 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Elvis E. and Pauline S. Pendleton. He was the fifth of six children. Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death. George unexpectantly was called home on Saturday May 18, 2019
George professed his faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized at First Virginia Avenue Baptist Church.
He attended the Louisville Public Schools and graduated from Shawnee High School. He enjoyed playing baseball and took it very seriously. He received a baseball scholarship to Jackson State University in Jackson, MS. In later years he coached little league baseball. He was also an avid University of Louisville Cardinal fan.
George was employed at the Brinley-Hardy Company for several years. After leaving Brinley-Hardy he held various other employment until his health did not permit him to work.
George leaves to cherish his loving memory, son, Patrick Stoner; sisters, Edith Briggs of Atlanta, GA, Mariam House (Louis), Janice Pendleton; five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
